B5 — For shippers

The B5 has no LED indicators. All status is shown on the on-device LCD — no phone required.

Important: DO NOT remove the plastic bag unless you need USB access for final readings.

Start the device

1. (Optional) Configure in the Cydiance App — or skip to use factory defaults.
2. Press and hold 5 seconds to start, or start from the app while connected.
3. When logging, the LCD shows a Play triangle (▶). If the device is not started, the LCD shows NULL.
4. Press the button once to wake the LCD and read status. The screen turns off again after 5 seconds to save battery.
5. Manual stop is not available.

When possible, use two loggers for the simplest temperature mapping:

1. Place one at the container air outlet to record supply-air temperature from the refrigeration unit.
2. Place one at the container door to capture temperature coverage across the load.

Keep each logger in its plastic bag during transport. Before sealing the carton, press the button on each logger and confirm the LCD still shows the Play triangle.
