Cydiance Hardware Warranty Terms
Limited hardware warranty for Cydiance loggers and trackers.
Last updated: 1 July 2026
These Warranty Terms apply to Cydiance temperature loggers and trackers sold through authorized channels. They describe the limited hardware warranty offered by Shanghai Cydiance Technology Co., Ltd (“Cydiance”).
Warranty period
The hardware warranty period depends on the product model. It is stated on the device label and in the product datasheet or your distributor agreement. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the warranty starts on the date of arrival at the distributor.
| Product line | Warranty duration | Scope |
|---|---|---|
| C0 / C1 (USB loggers) | Per product label | Hardware defects not caused by the customer |
| B3 (Bluetooth logger) | Per product label | Hardware defects not caused by the customer |
| B5 (Bluetooth logger with LCD) | Per product label | Hardware defects not caused by the customer |
| R3 (real-time tracker) | Per product label | Hardware defects not caused by the customer, including SIM module failure |
If the label, datasheet, and agreement differ, the written agreement with your distributor prevails for that shipment.
Each device label shows Shelf life and Service life. Cydiance ships loggers fully charged.
- Within the labeled Shelf life and Service life, a battery-related failure that prevents the device from operating as documented is treated as a warranty-eligible defect, subject to evaluation.
- After the labeled Shelf life or Service life has expired, battery depletion or battery-related faults are considered normal end-of-life wear and are not covered by this warranty.
What is covered
The warranty covers failure of the device to perform its documented functions due to defects in materials or workmanship under normal use, subject to the exclusions below.
Remedies may include, at Cydiance's discretion:
- Replacement (e.g. dead-on-arrival, confirmed batch-related hardware failure)
- Credit or refund where replacement is not practicable and agreed with the customer
- Repair for serviceable models where repair capability is available
Warranty service is provided at no charge to the end customer for confirmed warranty cases, subject to return authorization procedures.
Exclusions
This warranty does not cover:
- Physical damage (drop, crush, immersion, mishandling)
- Unauthorized disassembly, modification, or repair
- Exposure outside the device's specified operating temperature range (refer to the product datasheet)
- Removal or defacement of labels or serial numbers (including Shelf life and Service life markings on the label)
- Battery failure due to normal end-of-life wear after the labeled Shelf life or Service life has expired (see Warranty period above)
- Misuse or failure to follow Cydiance user documentation and SOPs
- Damage arising from improper storage, installation, or shipment placement
Cydiance devices are monitoring tools. The warranty does not cover loss of cargo, product spoilage, business interruption, or other consequential damages.
How to request warranty service
- Contact your authorized Cydiance partner or support@cydiance.com.
- Provide order reference, device serial number(s), product model, and a description of the fault.
- Provide supporting evidence where available (e.g. photos, export files, fault symptoms).
- Await return authorization and shipping instructions before sending devices for evaluation.
Do not ship returns without prior authorization. For battery-powered devices, follow packaging and battery safety instructions provided by Cydiance.
Evaluation and resolution
Cydiance or its authorized partner will evaluate returned units to confirm whether the failure is warranty-eligible. Outcomes may be classified as:
- Confirmed defect — warranty remedy applied
- No fault found — device may be returned or handled per commercial agreement
- Further analysis — root-cause investigation for complex or batch-related cases
Cydiance aims to acknowledge warranty requests within 24 hours on business days. Resolution time depends on fault type, location, and replacement stock availability.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Cydiance's liability under this warranty is limited to repair, replacement, or credit for the affected hardware. Cydiance is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of goods in transit or storage.

Warranty claims should be submitted through your local Cydiance partner where one is appointed. Direct support: support@cydiance.com.

Cydiance may update these Warranty Terms from time to time. The version published on this page applies to products unless a separate written agreement with your distributor states otherwise.
